It's "funny" how major comunication groups and media don't say almost nothing about this. It's really dissapointing. And people really don't seem to care.

I'm going to ty and patent the mouse double-click feature and sue all OS developers (including M$).

Sad day for all european developers...

I think that all german public administration uses linux based platform. They might end up having legal problems with their own software. I don't now what's worse: how stupid it is for the countrys voting for this law or the fact that no one seems to care about it.

I'm sure that all this is comming from EUA and Microsoft, because since M$ had to show up their Windows source code, the best way they have to protect their property is with software patents. BTW: who the hell wanted to see M$'s source code?

If I didn't read wrong, this patent change has to be sent back to the European Parliament from September this year for approval in order for the measures to carry legal effect. So doesn't this mean that, this change won't necessary happen? I truly hope so...

Edit: Or did this happened last year?
